Activities

All our activities have their origin in the LORD

"We come to see the difference, then, which faith makes for us. Those who believe are transformed by the love to which they have opened their hearts in faith. By their openness to this offer of primordial love, their lives are enlarged and expanded. "It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me" (Gal 2:20)." (Lumen Fidei, 21)

      Dear Fr. Robert,

      Peace and Joy!

I am sorry if I cannot respond to you right away.  Internet connection in Tacloban is still very bad despite our have pocket wifi and other gadgets.  I am presently in Manila for some business and so have a chance to open and answer my mails.  I have not done so in a week's time or more.  When I left Tacloban two days ago, I have already instructed a sister to take photos of the children we are helping. We will get back to you with photos and perhaps some stories of the kids.

God bless you and the Estrada family.

      Gratefully yours,
      Sr Ana
and the Sisters of Divine Word Hospital

Update on the use of the Estrada's Family donation:

      Greetings of Peace and Joy!

Here are some of the lucky recipients: One boy, 11 years who was operated on both legs which were hit by flying Iron sheets from the roof of a nearby school. The doctor still has to remove the steel which was inserted in his legs. As of now, he still can't walk and we need to provide him with a walker. I think somebody already pledged to donate a walker for him. Another boy suffered from stray bullet and was also operated on. Then a number of children who are really malnourished. We will provide them with milk and proper nutrition for as long as the funds last.

Many thanks for your concern. We keep you all in our prayers.

      Sincerely yours,
      Sr Ana
